AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) -- An early Christmas present for dozens of families in Augusta is when a secret Santa donated $10,000 for layaways at Walmart.
Today, two more anonymous people followed suit and those families say they're so grateful. We know that all three live here.
The $10,000 donor is a business owner.
The second stopped by this morning and the third News 12 spoke to today, his donation was specifically for kids.
Inside these doors, the spirit of giving is contagious.
"I got a text saying an anonymous person has paid your layaway and I'm like what?!" said Denise Coleman.
It was a Christmas miracle when a secret Santa donated $10,000 to the Deans Bridge Road Walmart, paying off 60 people's layaway gifts.
"We were just waiting in line and then the woman's like 'actually, an anonymous donor paid off your layaway'. I looked over to my mom and I was like, what!" said Rachel Greer.
But then, on the last day of layaways, there was more Christmas magic.
Another secret Santa appeared, donating more and then a third.
"Being a little more fortunate than some, it's only the right thing to do," said the donor.
We're not showing his face because he wants to remain anonymous, but his donation was specific.
"I had the lady at Walmart separate the adults from the kids and paid off the toys!" said the donor.
Toys for the people like Rachel trying to put presents under the tree.
"It was for Christmas. This year was just financially really kind of hard," said Greer.
She was one of the 60 families that first secret Santa helped.
She says her husband just lost his job.
"Thank you. I really appreciate it and so do my kids," said Greer.
Now her 19-month-old and 4-year-old will wake up on Christmas morning to these.
"If I could really meet you in person I would give you the biggest hug on the face of the planet. It means a lot," said Greer.
Today was the last day for layaway and Walmart says they've been getting hundreds of calls all day from people asking if they were one of the lucky ones.
There was a steady line of people all day getting their presents, some in tears and it inspired others to do the same.
