Walmart closings 2024: See the full list - NJ.com

Walmart is closing down three stores by the end of May, bringing the total number of store closures in 2024 to eight.

The closures for this year, which are occurring in four states, come as the company is experiencing poor financial performance in those areas.

Employees at the California and Wisconsin locations have already received layoff notices, according to Business Insider. The affected employees are all eligible to transfer to other store locations.

Here is the most up-to-date list of Walmart store closings in 2024:

California

• 605 Fletcher Parkway, El Cajon
• 40580 Albrae St., Fremont
• Neighborhood Market - 4080 Douglas Blvd., Granite Bay
• 2121 Imperial Ave., San Diego
• 2753 E. Eastland Center Drive, West Covina

Maryland

• 1238 Putty Hill Ave., Towson

Ohio

• 3579 S. High St., Columbus

Wisconsin

• Neighborhood Market - 7025 W. Main St., Milwaukee

These recent closings follow Walmart’s announcement in early May that it plans to close all of its Walmart Health clinics along with its Walmart Health Virtual Care telehealth service. Its health division opened in 2019 in Texas, Georgia, Florida, Arkansas, Illinois and Missouri and grew to 51 centers.
