WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — Deputies, police and emergency services responded to the scene of a shooting at the Walmart in Goddard that injured a teenage boy Saturday.
The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office said the call came in around 5 p.m. from the 18600 block of Kellogg Dr. in Goddard.
The SCSO said the victim was a teenage boy. He was initially triaged with critical injuries, but is in stable condition at the hospital now. Dispatch said the shooting happened in the parking lot.
The SCSO said they have a person of interest in custody, and there is no danger to the public.
An investigation is ongoing. KSN will update this story as more information is made available.
