Three men arrested, accused of Walmart thefts - WRGB

Amsterdam, NY — Three men were arrested on Sunday after police say they stole from Walmart in Amsterdam.

The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office responded to reports of a larceny in progress at 7:28 p.m. Sunday, at the Walmart Shopping Center in Amsterdam.

According to police, they observed a male matching the description provided, later identified as Ernest J. Fancher III, 25, of Gloversville, fleeing from the store on foot into the parking lot, at that time the officer said he immediately announced himself and ordered the male to stop, but he failed to do so, resulting in a foot pursuit. The suspect continued to ignore multiple commands to stop running, according to police. He was chased through the Walmart and Taco Bell parking lots, and then across State Highway 30, where he was then arrested near the Amsterdam Commons.

Following the arrest, police were advised by Walmart Asset Protection that two other males that were aided by Ernest were still inside of the store committing another larceny.

With the assistance of the Amsterdam Police Department and the New York State Police, the two other males were arrested in the parking lot.

The other two males were identified as Joseph Intelisano, 62, of Gloversville, and Kurtis T. Fuller, 25, of Gloversville.

All three were taken back to the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office for processing on charges of felony fourth-degree grand larceny and misdemeanor fifth-degree conspiracy. Ernest was also charged with obstruction of governmental administration.

Ernest allegedly stole $1,862.02 worth of merchandise and Joseph and Kurtis stole $1,219.33 worth of merchandise. A

Joseph and Kurtis were both taken to the Montgomery County Correctional Facility without bail, and Ernest was Released with an appearance ticket.
