LENOIR CITY, Tenn. (WVLT) - Lenoir City Police Department officers responded to reports of shots fired at the Walmart on Highway 321 a little after 8:00 p.m., according to Loudon County Sheriff’s Office officials.
Officials on the scene told WVLT News that there were no injuries, but officers found shell casings inside the store, confirming that there were shots fired.
Evidence suggested someone shot up in the air and not at anybody, according to Mayor Tony Aikens.
The suspect is not in custody, and officials are offering a $5,000 reward for information that could lead to an arrest.
Officers were on the scene 1 minute after dispatch received the call.
This is a developing story.
