
INDEPENDENCE, Iowa – Four women are accused of a robbery at the Independence Walmart at 302 Enterprise Drive.
According to a press release, officers learned the four women entered the store,allegedly looking to steal merchandise. When they left the building, one woman reportedly pepper sprayed an employee.
Another woman also allegedly attempted to push a shopping cart with merchandise out of the store.
Jasmine Donald (18), Kaila Johnson (19), and Naviea Steele (18), were identified as the suspects. The fourth female was a juvenile. The driver of the getaway vehicle was later identified as Jalissa Simmons (27).
Donald, Johnson, and Steele are currently in the Buchanan County Jail on $10,000.00 bonds for 2nd Degree Robbery. A warrant remains for Simmons.
