WICHITA FALLS (KFDX/KJTL) - One man is shot and in custody after at least 10 units responded to an incident at the Central Freeway Walmart Sunday morning.
Wichita Falls Police Department officers responded to a call about a recovered vehicle at 6:45 a.m. Sunday to the Walmart in the 2700 block of Central Freeway.
WFPD Sgt. Harold McClure reported as officers approached the scene, they saw a white man in a blue Honda Civic and when officers tried to make contact with the suspect he reportedly tried to drive away and hit an officers car with the alleged stolen vehicle.
The suspect was then shot but continued to flee. Officers were able to apprehend the suspect at the corner of Airport and Central Freeway, and he was taken into custody.
The suspect was then taken to United Regional for treatment of non-life threatening injuries, and McClure said he is facing multiple charges.
