Road rage incident leads to shooting near Walmart

CADDO PARISH, La. - Two men were arrested following a road rage incident that led to gunfire in front of a local Walmart.

The incident happened around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday after an argument at the four-way stop on Northport Blvd. in Blanchard.

Following the dispute, 56-year-old Robert Carrillo drove to the Walmart parking lot.  LaDarrell Washington, Jr., 19, who was leaving the store, backed up and drove to where Carrillo was parked.

Carrillo allegedly ran toward Washington's vehicle and attempted to pull him from his vehicle.

After the physical altercation, Washington pulled out a gun and fired it into the pavement in the direction of Carrillo and others.

Washington ran away but deputies located him a short time later at a house on Doris St.  He was booked into the Caddo Correctional Center for Aggravated Assault with a Firearm.

Carillo remained at the scene following the incident. He was issued a summons for misdemeanor Simple Battery and was released.
