LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) -- The Lynchburg Police Department said it's looking for a woman that said is connected to a recent fraud at the Walmart on Wards Road.
Police said the woman entered the Walmart around 12 p.m. on Thursday, February 1 and selected three Walmart gift cards.
The suspect then went through the check out and gave instructions as to how she wanted the money loaded on the cards.
Police said the cashier loaded the cards and the suspect walked away with them, never paying for the cards.
They said in all, $1,500 in gift cards was taken.
Police said the suspect left Walmart and got in a grey sedan, possibly a Kia, with an unknown license plate and left the area.
LPD provided surveillance photos of the vehicle.
