Mom pulls out gun during 'back to school' brawl at Walmart

A mother shopping at Walmart with her 20-year-old daughter pulled a gun on two women in a brawl over “back to school” supplies, Fox 2 Detroit reported.

“One girl was going to buy a notebook, there was one left, some pushing resulted,” Novi, Mich., police Detective Scott Baetens said. “They began to argue over who was the rightful purchaser of the notebook.”

Witnesses said both duos wouldn’t back down and as the two women pulled the 20-year-old’s hair — her mother pulled out her gun.

Customers bolted and called the police, ending the scuffle.

“It was a senseless act of violence all the way around,” Baetens said, adding that prosecutors were trying to determine who the aggressors were and if the mother, who has a valid concealed pistol licence, acted in self-defense.

All four women left facing possible charges but it was unclear who left with the supplies.

“I’m unsure who got the notebook,” Baetens said.
