CULLMAN, Ala. (WAFF) - A West Point man was arrested on Thursday after being accused of recording women in the restroom at a Walmart in Cullman.
On Tuesday officers with the Cullman Police Department responded to reports of a suspicious man who had went into the women’s restroom of Walmart South and was seen by a customer recording women in the restroom.
The man was confronted and left the store before officers arrived. Walmart provided investigators with surveillance footage of the man and the vehicle he was driving.
On Wednesday investigators identified the man as 32-year-old Justin Wade Perry who officials say is a registered sex offender. A warrant was issued for his arrest.
On Thursday, Perry was taken into custody following a search warrant at his home. He is charged with Aggravated Criminal Surveillance, a Class C felony. Officials say the investigation is ongoing and more charges are expected.
