CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - More than 150 employees at the regional Walmart corporate office in southwest Charlotte are being laid off, according to a report put together by the North Carolina Department of Commerce.
According to the report, 155 people will be laid off by September 20.
The layoffs apply to the office at 2118 Water Ridge Parkway.

The announcement came a month after Walmart’s main corporate headquarters announced layoffs across various markets and relocations for remote workers.
A letter sent to city, county and state leaders from Walmart said that 53 of those positions work remotely.
Those who are being laid off are eligible to apply for positions at other company facilities, according to the letter.
