(Gray News) – Some dog food sold at Walmart is being voluntarily recalled in some states due to the potential presence of loose pieces of metal in the bag.
According to the Food and Drug Administration, the recall only impacts 315 bags of Pedigree Adult Complete Nutrition Grilled Steak & Vegetable Flavor Dry Dog Food in the 44 lb. bag size.
The dog food was sold by Walmart in Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas.
A press release states the affected dog food has a Best By Date of March 4, 2025, and Lot Code 410B2TXT02.
There have been no reports of any pet injuries or illnesses so far, according to the FDA.
“If you believe your pet has consumed the affected product, you should monitor for unusual behavior and contact a veterinarian in the event of any concerns,” the recall states.
