If you’ve shopped at Walmart in the last six years, you could be due for payment as part of a class action lawsuit settlement.
Earlier this year, Walmart agreed to settle a class-action lawsuit filed in Florida that alleged the global retailer had overcharged customers for weighted goods, including packed poultry, pork, and seafood, and bagged citrus items — including oranges, tangerines, and grapefruits — between October 19, 2018 to January 19, 2024.

Walmart agreed to pay $45 million to settle the lawsuit, which means if you bought any of those goods, you could be eligible for payment.
The settlement still needs to be approved by a judge in June, but the process is already underway to file claims.
Payment amount is subject to how much product you bought in the lawsuit timeframe, capped at $500 per claimant.
If you have receipts from the purchases, you’ll get 2% of of the cost back, up to $500. You can still file a claim without having the receipts, but the most you can get back is $25.
