Officer assaulted after suspect allegedly draws gun in Springfield Twp. Walmart parking lot - Cleveland 19 News

SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WOIO) - Police are investigating after an officer was assaulted when a suspect allegedly drew a gun in the Springfield Township Walmart parking lot Saturday.

According to a release from police, Tonjreonna Mayhand was involved with another woman in a dispute in the Walmart parking lot,

During the argument, Mayhand allegedly brandished a gun at the other woman.

A bystander reported the incident to a Lakemore officer who was on duty at the Walmart.

When the officer tried to detain Mayhand, another suspect, Michelle Wright, physically assaulted the officer, according to the release.

The release said Wright was then arrested.

Police also found a handgun in Mayhand’s car.

Mayhand was charged with aggravated menacing and Wright was charged with felony assault on a police officer.
