Shoppers at a Canton Township Walmart escaped without life-threatening injuries after a driver crashed into the store on Friday.
Five people, including a baby, were injured after a driver burst through two service doors, careening 45 feet into a Walmart on Friday afternoon and creating chaos for shoppers inside.
All of the patients have either since been treated at a local hospital or released for non-life-threatening injuries, according to a Saturday release from Canton Township police.
Paramedics assessed three other people at the store who declined further medical treatment, the release said.
"Police and Fire officials are giving credit to the Walmart staff and patrons who helped the victims immediately following the crash," the release said.

The driver was among the injured people, according to police. There were no deaths.
A shopper told The News she had been helping another woman search for her 1-year-old grandchild immediately after the crash and found her unconscious and bruised in a separate aisle.
"I thought it was a bomb that went off," said Mary Kubik, 53, of Detroit.
First responders evacuated the store, citing car oil, transmission fluid and gasoline fumes, Kubik said.
A witness inside the store and two people identifying as family said the driver was a woman.
Police are still looking into the cause of the crash and will turn over the case to the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office for review after the investigation.
