Walmart almost seems too big to fail, and the retail giant’s bottom line certainly doesn’t seem to be hurting, but from time-to-time for a multitude of reasons it’s time to move on.

Yes, Walmart actually closes stores.

And a couple of them are already on the chopping block for 2024.

According to multiple reports, two Walmart stores, both in California, are shuttering to start this year. Both are slated to go dark on Feb. 9. The stores — located at 2121 Imperial Ave. in San Diego and 605 Fletcher Parkway in Caljon — are reportedly being closed due to “financial underperformance.”

Those locations reportedly employ 357 people, and those folks will have an opportunity to transfer to another store.

So, that’s good news for folks in the Keystone State, especially those who are Walmart fans, because none of the closings are in this state.

But, it is something to keep an eye on because the closings continue a trend of sorts.

Walmart reportedly closed 22 stores across 14 states last year, also none in Pa., last year.

The retailer reportedly operates more than 4,600 stores across the country.
