BROOKLYN, Ohio

Employee theft, Brook Park Road: On Dec. 14, police were dispatched to Walmart after a loss prevention officer observed an employee stealing merchandise from the Brook Park Road store.

An arriving officer talked to the caller, who said the Garfield Heights resident was caught stealing items valued at more than $181.

She was arrested for theft.

Shoplifting, Brook Park Road: On Dec. 12, a Walmart loss prevention officer observed numerous customers stealing merchandise from the Brook Park Road store.

An arriving officer located the Cleveland suspects, who attempted to steal more than $705 worth of items.

They were charged with theft.

Drunken driving, Tiedeman Road: On Dec. 14, police observed a 1995 Ford make an illegal turn on Tiedeman Road near I-480.

While talking to the Columbia Station driver, the officer smelled booze.

After failing a field sobriety test, the man was arrested for drunken driving. He was also cited for the illegal turn at intersection.

Lost cash, Biddulph Road: On Dec. 10, police were dispatched to Giant Eagle after a customer reported losing $80 in cash at the Biddulph Road store.

The Cleveland man suspected someone took the money. There are no suspects.

Police are investigating.
