Two men arrested after chase in Walmart parking lot - Turn to 10

Cranston police arrested two men Tuesday night after a chase in a Walmart parking lot.

Police received a call from a girl who said she and her boyfriend were being chased by a man with a gun.

She also said the alleged gunman claimed her boyfriend owed him money.

The suspect was described as a light-skinned male with facial and arm tattoos.

Police engaged in a brief foot chase before the two suspects were taken into custody.

Officials arrested 21-year-old David Collado of Providence, and 25-year-old Richard Hiraldo of Providence.

A third male made it into a vehicle and refused to stop.

Police did not chase the vehicle once it reached Plainfield Pike due to the location.

Officials said the suspect returned to the scene, and was briefly detained.

The third suspect was later identified after fleeing, and an arrest warrant is being prepared for that suspect who will be arrested later.

Police said a gun was not located.

Collado was charged with resisting arrest.

Hiraldo was arrested for an active warrant, and passing a counterfeit bill.

The incident is under investigation.
