EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — In observance of National Caregiver Month, Walmart and Walmart Health collaborated to present a two-day "Care for the Caregiver" event over the weekend in the Borderland.
The event was held to provide resources, community support, and informative workshops to individuals serving as primary caregivers to the elderly or those with disabilities.
The expo was held at the Walmart at 1110 Sunland Park Drive.
Attendees were given access to information on community resources and different caregiving techniques.
Experts were on hand to share insights into the significance of self-care practices, methods to prevent burnout and injuries, and strategies for enhancing the caregiving experience.
Participants included Caregiving.com and AARP, alongside other community-based organizations.
Attendees had the opportunity to explore various booths offering activities, workshops, products, and resources at their own pace.
Guests also could participate in giveaways, raffles, and prizes, adding an element of excitement to the informative sessions.
The "Care for the Caregiver" event served as a platform to acknowledge and support the tireless efforts of caregivers in the El Paso community.
