MEDINA TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WOIO) - The Medina Township Police Department temporarily evacuated a Walmart and a Home Depot after receiving bomb threats, according to police officials.
Medina Township Police Chief John Minek said the Medina Dispatch Center received a call from an unknown individual around 7:46 p.m. on Nov. 4, saying there were bombs in both stores that were going to explode.
Medina Township police officers immediately went to both locations and spoke with both managers, Minek said.
Officers then evacuated the stores and searched for suspicious materials, Minek confirmed.
Minek said the officers didn’t find anything suspicious at either stores, which then resumed normal operations.
Minek says the incident is currently under investigation.
