South Carolina: Road rage in Walmart parking lot continues inside store, deputies say

South Carolina: Road rage in Walmart parking lot continues inside store, deputies say
A road rage incident in the parking lot of a South Carolina Walmart on Sunday continued inside the store, according to the Richland County Sheriff's Office. Sheriff Leon Lott said deputies got multiple calls to the Walmart on Killian Road. Lott said when deputies arrived they found two off-duty officers from different departments were there and were witnesses to what happened. After deputies reviewed video footage of the incident and spoke to the two off-duty officers, they determined that 26-year-old Jefferson Holliday and another man had gotten into an argument in the Walmart parking lot, which continued inside the store. Lott said after Holliday subdued the unknown man, Holliday drew his gun, pointed it at the off-duty officer and the unknown man and walked toward them. The off-duty officer then stood up, releasing the unknown man on the ground, and got in between the two men, according to Lott. The off-duty officer struggled with Holliday, taking the gun away from him and detained him until deputies arrived. The unknown man, who was the original aggressor, used this opportunity to escape, according to Lott. No shots were fired and no serious injuries occurred with the suspects or the officers involved. The Walmart was closed for a short time but has been reopened and was never evacuated.
