The remodel of the Hoover Walmart Supercenter is now complete.
A reopening is scheduled for 8 a.m. Friday at the store at 5335 U.S. 280.
There will be a celebration for customers at the newly refurbished store, and the unveiling of a community-inspired mural by local artist Joel Bullock.
The store has new signage, lighting and flooring, a refinished interior and exterior and remodeled bathrooms.
There’s also a mother’s room for nursing mothers, increased numbers of self-checkout lanes and manned registers, an expanded cosmetics department, and new Grab-N-Go coolers and Dollar Shop at the front of the store.
The store also has new features such as digital touchpoints, which allow customers to use QR codes and digital screens to learn about new products and services.
