Walmart on Stadium Boulevard in Jefferson City is finally showing off its overhaul to customers.
The location was one of 41 Missouri Walmarts to benefit from an estimated $240 million investment from the company. New features include pickup, delivery and express deliveries expedited to less than two hours. They will also expand access to the chain's membership program, Walmart+, which offers free shipping without minimums, free deliveries from stores on orders of more than $35 and a fuel discount for members.
An online notice stated the company was celebrating the renovations as of Saturday, Dec. 10.
Other statewide improvements include revamped interiors, new LED lighting, new flooring, bathroom remodels, a private room for nursing mothers and an enhanced Vision Center.
The stores will also receive expanded seasonal inventory, additional self-checkout lanes and registers, and the introduction of a touch-free payment option called Walmart Pay.
Walmart+ launched in 2020, offering exclusive promotions, a rewards program and membership offers for streaming services Spotify and Paramount+. The service is available for $12.95 a month or $98 annually.
Walmart is located at 724 W. Stadium Blvd. and is open daily from 6 a.m.-11 p.m.
