UPDATE: Police take custody of person in mental health crisis, Walmart closed temporarily - KOLD

MARANA, Ariz. (KOLD News 13) - Marana police have one person in custody and the Walmart Supercenter in the Arizona Pavilions Marketplace has been temporarily closed after an incident involving a person who told police she was in a mental health crisis.

Police were originally called to the store for a report of a suspicious person armed with a handgun Friday morning, May 20.

According to the Marana Police Department, the person did not wave the weapon at anyone and was asking for crisis help. She was taken Into custody immediately. No one was injured in the incident. No more information was released about the person in custody.

The Walmart Supercenter, 8280 N. Cortaro Road, has been closed temporarily.

No additional information was immediately available.
