The Walmart Neighborhood Market store in Dothan has announced it was closing at 2 p.m. today for “additional cleaning, sanitizing, and stocking.”
The store, located at 3871 W Main St in Dothan, posted the announcement on its Facebook page just after 11 a.m. Saturday.
A manager at the store reached by phone would not comment on whether the closure was COVID-related, referring questions to Walmart media relations, which did not immediately respond to questions about the closure.
The store says it plans to reopen Monday morning at 6 a.m. The pharmacy drive-thru will remain open for its regular hours during the closure.
During the pandemic, a number of Walmart locations have announced temporary closures for additional cleaning and sanitation.
Stores in Fairhope and Saraland temporarily closed last week for cleaning, and a Walmart store in Foley closed for a few days the week before that.
