PS5 restock: When can you order new Playstation from Walmart before it sells out? - syracuse.com

The PlayStation 5 is one of the hottest items of the holiday season, and it’s no surprise that it’s sold out everywhere.

Demand is huge for the new Sony console, and reports of organized stock scalping and consoles missing from packages have plagued the launch of the PS5.

If you want to be among the first to own a PS5 in the country, you’re going to need some luck when the console is restocked on Walmart.com this week. Walmart will restock the PS5 at 9:00 p.m., ET on Wednesday, November 25 (11/25/2020).

There’s likely to be more restocks from retailers like GameStop, Amazon and Best Buy throughout the holiday shopping season, but, just like at Walmart, you will need your finger on the button (F5) and a fair amount of luck to be able to snag one when they appear online.

The PS5 has impressive specs including ray tracing, up to 120fps with 120Hz output, 8k support, HDR technology, and an ultra-high speed SSD. Which all means that it performs faster and puts out better graphics than your PS4 or PS4 Pro. But the brand new DualSense controller, which features haptic feedback, adaptive triggers, and 3D Audio, might be an even bigger draw, for how it will change the way you play your favorite games.

Expect to pay $499 for your new console if you’re lucky enough to find it from a big box retailer. If you try to get it from a scalper, prices are going to surge to three times that, or more.
