Walmart will change store hours in advance of holiday shopping season - PennLive

Walmart has announced it will expand its hours beginning on Nov. 14.

Walmart had reduced its hours in March because of the COVID-19 pandemic. At that time, store hours were 7 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.

In August, most Walmart stores expanding the closing time to 10 p.m. Before the new coronavirus pandemic, many stores were open 24 hours a day.

As of Nov. 14, closing time will be 11 p.m.

On Twitter, Walmart said, "Starting November 14, Walmart stores and Neighborhood Markets will be open 7 AM to 11 PM until further notice.

This will give customers more time to shop and help us disperse traffic throughout the day. Stores with more reduced hours will keep current hours of operation."

Also in November, the retailer will launch its Black Friday sales in a different way.

“Black Friday Deals for Days” will include savings events in November:

• The first event starts on Walmart.com at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4. More deals will roll out at 12 a.m. Nov. 7 online and at 5 .m. in stores.
• The second begins on Walmart.com at 7 p.m. Nov. 11 with more deals rolling out at 12 a.m. Nov. 14 online and in stores at 5 a.m.
• The third “Black Friday Deals for Days” event starts online at 7 p.m. Nov. 25 with more deals landing at 12 a.m. Nov. 27 online and in stores at 5 a.m.

According to Walmart, “amazing deals” launching Nov. 4 include an onn. brand 42-inch UHD Roku TV for $88 and Hotel Style bath towels for $5.

On Nov. 7, the Magic Bullet Blender will go on sale for $15.

Sales will include deals on brands including HP, Instant Pot, Lego, L.O.L. Surprise!, Roku and Shark.

Walmart had previously announced it will be closed on Thanksgiving Day.
