Gov. Asa Hutchinson announced more than a week ago the state would partner with Walmart and Quest Diagnostics, a commercial lab, on the drive-through testing site.

The testing site is on the west parking lot of the Home Office, at the intersection of Southwest Eighth Street and South Walton Boulevard, according to the post. The post says the site was moved from the parking lot at the David Glass Technology Center on Moberly Lane.

Walmart opened a drive-thru testing site Friday in Shreveport, and plans to open another today in the New Orleans metro area, according to company spokeswoman Marilee McInnis.

The retailer has set a goal of operating more than 20 sites in more than 10 states by the end of April, she said.

"We are working closely with Quest Diagnostics, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and several states to open sites in areas of need," McInnis said. "We have been learning a lot from our initial sites so we can get the model right and are working hard to help expand testing in areas of need as quickly as possible."

Walmart opened its first site March 22 in Joliet, Ill.

More than 780 people in Benton County and more than 350 people in Washington County had been tested for the virus by 2 p.m. Friday, according to the Arkansas Department of Health. Benton County had 48 cases, and Washington County had 37 cases as of Sunday afternoon.
