MERRITT ISLAND, Fla. - A man is in custody after another man was found shot to death inside a Walmart in Merritt Island, Brevard County deputies said.
The man was shot around 8:30 p.m. Sunday at the Walmart at 1500 East Merritt Island Causeway, deputies said.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting are unknown, and deputies said the shooting suspect is in their custody.
“The person we feel is responsible for this shooting incident is with our personnel at the present time,” Tod Goodyear with the Brevard County Sheriff's Office said. “There was only one shot fired. We believe we have the person that fired that shot.”
The investigation is ongoing.
