Fresh off the recent renovation of its Brick store, Walmart plans to spend about $96 million on upgrades and renovations in 2019 to 13 stores throughout New Jersey.
The changes are coming as Walmart continues to tout its e-commerce pickup service as well as grocery pickup and delivery.
"Walmart is strongly committed to enhancing the overall shopping experience in New Jersey,” said Glen Spencer, Walmart’s regional general manager for New Jersey, in a statement. "This will significantly benefit our customers, whether they’re shopping in-store or online.”

The store in Rio Grande is being expanded while the store in Linden is being relocated to West Edgar Road.
Details about specific store renovations are not available, but in Brick completed work included changes to the electronics department, a new online pickup area and a paint counter in the hardware department.
