Easter 2019: Is Walmart open? Target? Grocery store, drug store hours and more - AL.com

Let’s say you forgot to pick up something for your Easter dinner. Have no fear – there are plenty of places open today if you need to make a quick store run.

Walmart, CVS, Walgreens and many other places are open today. There are some exceptions, most noticeably Target, Publix and Aldi, which are closed on April 21.

What’s open? What’s closed?

Here’s a look at what’s open and what’s closed on Easter 2019. Always check with your favorite location to confirm their hours:

Aldi – Closed

Costco – Closed

CVS – Open regular hours

Home Depot – Open

Kroger - Open

Lowe’s – Open

Malls – Most malls will be open but some will have holiday hours. Check with your favorite mall to confirm hours.

Publix – Closed

Restaurants – Most restaurants are open, many with special Easter menus. Cracker Barrel, Olive Garden, Red Lobster and Outback Steak House will all be open. Chick-fil-A, which is closed every Sunday, won’t be open Easter. Chipotle is also closed.

Rite Aid – Open regular hours Sam’s Club – Closed

Starbucks - Open

Target – Closed

Trader Joe’s – Closing at 5 p.m.

Walgreens – Open regular hours

Walmart – Open regular hours

Whole Foods – Open regular hours

Easter next year

Easter 2020 will be earlier – Sunday, April 12. The following year is even earlier, with Easter on April 4.
