UPDATE: 1/13/2019 8:14 P.M.

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV)--One man has died after a shooting in the Walmart parking lot.

Another man is in custody. The Jackson Police Department says shots rang out after a private transaction took place in the parking lot. Police say that sale was not drug-related. Police say this is homicide number five.

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV)--Jackson police are investigating a shooting in the parking lot of Walmart on Greenway Drive.

A male victim was shot. His condition is unknown. We have a crew on scene. About a dozen police cars are there.
