NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) -- A report of a suspicious package prompted an evacuation of a Norfolk-area Walmart Wednesday morning.
Norfolk police said in a tweet officers and fire-rescue responded to the Tidewater Drive location just before 8:30 a.m. Residents were being asked to avoid the area.
Fire officials later said the package was x-rayed and deemed clear at around 10:10 a.m.
