A death investigation is underway outside a Walmart on White Horse Road in Greenville County Tuesday morning.
Investigators with the Greenville County Coroner's Office and Greenville County Sheriff's Office were on scene before 7 a.m. An area of the Walmart parking lot had been blocked by yellow caution tape.
Authorities were called to the site at 6134 White Horse Road after finding a deceased person inside a dark-colored pick-up truck parked outside the Walmart, said Jeff Fowler, an investigator with the Coroner's Office.
Fowler said the investigation is still underway though it appears the person may have died from suicide.
Lt. Ryan Flood, a spokesman for the Sheriff's Office, also said the incident appears to be an apparent suicide.
Further details were not immediately available.
