Every year Cyber Monday has record-breaking sales and Cyber Monday 2018 will be no exception. There’s a good reason for this: Cyber Monday typically delivers even bigger savings than the top Black Friday deals. So should you wait? History gives us the answers, so let’s start at the top and break down
Note: Working alongside BestBlackFriday.com, I will be providing Cyber Monday previews for all of the major stores, including Amazon (Black Friday ad here), Best Buy (Black Friday ad here) and Target (Black Friday ad here) as well as guides to Apple and Samsung products. Let’s start!
Sony's PS4 Pro will be the big addition to Walmart's Cyber Monday 2018 salesSony
Walmart’s Best Cyber Monday 2018 Deals
The best place to start forecasting Walmart’s Cyber Monday 2018 sales is the 5-page Cyber Monday ad aggregated by BestBlackFriday.com on November 24th last year. These were some of the top deals:
- Samsung 58-inch 4K Smart LED HDTV for $598 (save $200) - review deal
- RCA 55-inch 4K Roku Smart HDR LED TV for $379 (save $420) - review deal
- Xbox One S 500GB for $189 (save $90) - review deal
- Sony PlayStation 4 1TB Console for $199 (save $100) - review deal
- Sony PlayStation 4 Pro 1TB Console for $349 (save $50) - review deal
- Lenovo Ideapad 320 15.6-inch laptop with Windows 10 for $199 (save $70) - review deal
- Bose QuietComfort Noise Cancelling Headphones for $179 (save $100) - review deal
- Google Home Mini + $25 Shopping Offer for $29 (save $20) - review deal
So what can we learn from this about Walmart’s Cyber Monday 2018 sales?
Walmart's Black Friday 2018 Nintendo Switch deal will be back on Cyber MondayNintendo
Walmart is a creature of habit and typically repeats its sales patterns. So using last year’s Walmart Cyber Monday deals and applying them to the store’s current Black Friday deals, I expect Walmart to deliver the following offers
The highlight here is the expected introduction of Sony’s PS4 Pro, which has not been part of any Black Friday 2018 sales so far. I suspect if Walmart does this, rivals should follow. So if this is the console you want, I would stand firm and wait for the Cyber Monday deals.
Elsewhere, don’t sweat it if you miss out on some of the rock-bottom TV prices on Black Friday because Walmart should deliver a new doorbuster 55-inch 4K HDTV for just $250. This will be a hot seller.
In addition, Walmart will reintroduce many of its most popular deals which you may have thought died with the end of Black Friday. I believe the Xbox One X, Nintendo Switch and Google Home Hub sales will all repeat, so again hold your nerve and don’t buy something inferior if you miss out on Black Friday itself.
