Salem police investigate shooting in Walmart parking lot

SALEM, OR (KPTV) -

A man was taken to the hospital after a shooting in the parking lot of Walmart Sunday night.

Salem Police responded shortly after 9 p.m. to the entrance of the store's parking lot near Lancaster Drive NE and Devonshire Court.

The victim was transported to Salem Health by a witness prior to officers arriving on scene.

At this time no suspects are in in custody.

Detectives have been called in and are responding to the scene to take over the investigation.

More information will be released after police investigate.
