A Chesnee man has been accused of making violent threats against employees at Spartanburg’s east-side Walmart this weekend.
Clinton Henderson, 69, of 2400 Sandy Ford Road, is charged with breach of peace. He was taken to the Spartanburg County jail Sunday evening.
Officers went to the Walmart at 2151 E. Main St. for a reported bomb threat around 9 p.m. Sunday and took Henderson into custody, according to a Spartanburg Police Department incident report. Officers searched the building for any other suspicious persons, the report states.
Store employees said Henderson told them, "If I had one bomb, one grenade, I could take you all out,” according to the report.
Officers later found a firearms magazine in his pocket and a rifle and pistol in his vehicle outside, the report states.
