Update: The woman was taken into custody and Mine Road will be open again momentarily.
STAFFORD COUNTY, Va. — A suicidal woman, armed with a gun, is in a car parked outside Walmart on Garrisonville Road, according to a Stafford County Sheriff’s spokesperson and WTTG.
“Deputies are negotiating with the subject for safety,” according to the spokesperson. “There are no road closures and traffic is only slightly impacted at this time.”
While the situation remains fluid, traffic near the Walmart has been diverted from Mine Road to Greenspring Drive. Mine Road is closed between Garrisonville Road and Greenspring Drive.
