Northwest police reports: Pair steals from Walmart, lead police on car chase

GERMANTOWN

A. Officers at about 3:30 p.m. Nov. 17 responded to Walmart, W190 N9855 Appleton Avenue, for a report of two females stealing $657 worth of bicycle parts from the store. Officers attempted to pull over the vehicle, but the driver sped off. Pursuing officers called off the chase because of weather conditions, the suspect's erratic driving and heavy traffic. Officers contacted the vehicle's owner, who said someone had taken a set of keys to the car, and it occasionally went missing. Police are investigating.

B. A man called police on Nov. 13 to report tools were stolen outside of his Chevrolet van in the parking lot of Menards, W186 N9754 Appleton Avenue. A police report did not say whether the van was locked or not.

Smith, 18, and another woman at about 4 p.m. Nov. 18 for shoplifting at Walmart, W190 N9855 Appleton Ave. Officers pulled over a car occupied by the two after Walmart employees told them the two were stealing from the store. Smith was charged with felony retail theft more than $500. The other woman has not been charged.

MENOMONEE FALLS

H. Police arrested Shasmeir Turner, 21; Briona Bishop, 21; and Terriana Smith, 18, after they allegedly stole about $850 worth of Nike clothing from Kohl's, N95 W18000 Appleton Ave., at about 7 p.m. Nov. 13. All three were charged with felony retail theft greater than $500. It is unclear from online court documents whether Smith's charge was related to the Kohl's theft or a theft from Walmart in Germantown.

I. Two suspects stole tools from a contractor's truck parked at W180 N9440 Premier Lane on Nov. 14. The two left the scene in a mid- to late-1990s Ford Explorer. Police think the two are responsible for at least two other thefts in the village.

J. Someone broke a car window and stole an athletic bag containing three pairs of shoes in the 8800 block of Mill Street. The theft took place between 10:30 p.m. Nov. 11 and 11 a.m. Nov. 12.
